So I've made the big plunge. Went back to college so I can get a job at a newspaper somewhere, full-time I might add, and get the heck out of my current full-time job. It's not that my current job is all that bad, it's just that I've decided I like working in the wonderfull world of newspapers. Another good point would be that it at least gets me outside for part of the day when I'm out covering games. Where I am now I just sit inside and stare at a computer for 8 hours everyday. Fun.

The class I'm taking is Journalism. Should help me improve in my writing and put me on the right path.
If any of my high school English teachers knew what I wanted to do with the rest of my life they'd probably all have massive heart attacks. Let's just say that writing papers in high school was not my forte. Somehow though this is different. Not sure why, but for me this just isn't the same. Maybe because I'm not plugged into one style of writing, there's a little more creative freedom with this kind of writing.

Not much is going on. Scored U2 tickets for the concert at the MCI Center down in D.C on June 14. I AM SOOOO EXCITED! I absolutely love U2. Missed the show the last time around and was not going to miss it this time so I got myself out of bed on Saturday around 8:30ish (that's a.m.), a time I usually don't see on Saturday's and started dialing around 8:59 (tickets went on sale at 9). Managed to get through around 9:10 and had 2 seats in the nosebleed section by 9:15. For once I had some luck. Who knew?

Was thinking about my friends the other day. I'm actually quite lucky. Most of the people I call my friend are really my friend. I know I could count on anyone of them day or night if I needed them. The best part is going to visit all of them. It's pretty cool having some of my friends live in some of my favorite places. Erin in Salem, Mass., Chris in NYC (or Hoboken to be more precise), Leslie in D.C., and all of the others who are scattered around the U.S. Even though they're all far away from me, I know that I can count on anyone of them.
