It is so weird to be sitting here watching a NFL game in August. Broncos vs. Packers at Packer Stadium. I love fall. It is absolutely my most favorite time of the year. The leaves are falling and it's not so freaking hot everyday, football season is in full swing and the area is just beautiful when the leaves are completely turned over to all of their various shades of red, orange or yellow. Hopefully I'll be able to get out and enjoy the season a little more this year.
Had some good news about my friend Luke who we found out has Leukemia 7 weeks ago. His brother JD is a perfect match for bone marrow so some time in the near future he will be getting a transplant at one of the best medical centers in this part of the country, Hershey Medical Center. I am a firm believer in those people there and the miracles they do on a daily basis. Hershey is where my friend Brad was taken after his car accident 3 years ago. We didn't even know if he was going to make it through but because of the angels at Hershey, Brad is now back to normal (or as normal as he can be for a Republican) and still around to give me a hard time.
Getting myself prepared mentally for the trip to Durham. Should be interesting. I don't have any idea what to expect on this thing. Sigh, all I know is I'll be stuck in a van with my parents and sister for 8 hours one-way in two Saturdays and heaven only knows what's going to happen, especially when you consider the extreme weirdness of my family lately.
Going to Redskins training camp tomorrow. Lots of hotties in tight pants, must remember to be professional while there. Can start appreciating butts on the way home. God I love my job.
Sweet Dreams.
