Made it back from Durham in one piece! Woo-Hoo! It was actually kind of weird, almost reminded me of vacations from the past. Carrie and I fighting over who got to sit where (I know, real mature for a 25 and 18 year old), Dad driving the whole way, Mom trying to do her cross stitch. It was all very surreal. Almost like all of the crap from the past 8 months never even went on. Was nice seeing the relatives. My North Carolina relatives are so much fun. Not only can they get me a ticket to a Duke basketball game anytime I want, but they all know how to make some good Southern food. You can't find grits like that in south central PA.
Finally decided what I'm doing for my birthday trip this year. I think, as long as it's o.k. with the people I want to go visit, I'm going to leave the day before my birthday and drive up to N.Y. to see my friend Dave then head up to Salem, Mass. to visit my friend Erin and her boyfriend Tim. I always have a good time with them and besides, it's better than being here!
Fair week is coming up. You haven't lived until you've experience the great York Fair. Ah yes, 10 days of really bad for you food (hello, elephant ears and deep fried Oreo's), farm animals (hide the sheep), and of course Alabama and the usual host of country music icons. Of course, it's more fun to go and people watch. You definitely see the freeks come out. Gotta love this place.
Parting is such sweet sorrow (Shakespeare)
