Saw this little piece on MSN this morning. Took me back to when I got my first tatoo. It was senior year, of my five roomates only two of us didn't have one. I had been talking about getting one but couldn't quite muster up the nerve to do it. Mainly out of fear that my parents would reach all the way from home and smack me upside the back of the head if I did go through with it. But I digress. One Saturday when we didn't have band, four of my roomates hijacked me and took me to a local place, pretty much telling me I had to put up or shut up. So I put up, and now I have a permanent memento on my right shoulder of my favorite Dr. Suess book "One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish". I had them do the red fish. In fact, I was so impressed with the work they did, I went back for my second (a celtic knot on my left ankle) and third (a daisy on my right, um, chest area). After my trip to Ireland in February I may go back and get another on the other side of my ankle. Like the author of the article said, they are addictive.

Went to a very interesting Halloween party on Saturday night. My friends Brad and Loni hosted a throw down at their place downtown. Lets just say there was a lot of alcohol and I (for once) was not the designated driver. Eventually we drank all of the booze at Brad and Loni's and decided to go out. Wellll, some friends of mine, John and Jim, talked us all into going to a very cool gay club called the Velvet Rope. Us straight folks had a blast. We danced and just had a good old time. While we were taking a break from the dancing, Kristen and I tried to figure out why it is that we get more attention from guys in a gay club than we do when we go to a regular bar or club. Sigh. Story of my life.

Had very good news on the job search front. As I am very superstitious about these things, I don't want to say too much for fear of jinxing the whole thing. Just keep your fingers crossed for me and pray that my job situation will be changing soon.

Happy Halloween!
