Why is it that guys neglect to include important details, such as "By the way, I have a girlfriend", before they ask you out. I swear I am doomed to be single for the rest of my life. Saturday night was when I was supposed to be going out with my coach, Steve. Yeah. Turns out he has a girlfriend, not just a girlfriend but a girlfriend he lives with. When this tidbit of information came out (from other people I might add) I invited a whole group of people to go out with us. Hey, might as well have fun. Boy did I have fun. Problem is, I tend to forget sometimes that I can not drink like I did when I was 21. Three shots of Jack Daniels on top of beer and other liquor just does not go well. I was very trashed and very hungover Sunday. From what I remember I had a good time though.
Going to the doctor today to get my shoulder checked out. After practice two of the the chicas on my team stayed for the public skate and we were playing around swinging in circles when I lost my edge and went down hard on my right shoulder. It's been painful ever since so I finally broke down and called the doctor yesterday. I hope I didn't do anything serious to it. Would serve me right if I did.
What a bunch of neanderthals. Just goes to show you how far women still have to go in this country to get a little respect. Granted it is a lot better than it was, heck I wouldn't be doing the job I love if the situation had not improved over the last 100 years. We've still got a long way to go baby. Is their precious club that important that they can not let in a few women? Makes me ill, not unlike the J.D. from Saturday.
One last thing. An institution has ceased to exist in the town of my alma mater. Long live Friday happy hour and the best purple haze in PA!
