So far so good on the whole design switch. Let me know what you think. I'm still working out the kinks (where did my counter go?!) but all in all not too bad. Not sure how long this one will stick around but its good for now. Unless you look at my archives. Just realized I only republished from the first month. Ugh. Must remember to fix that before I sign off.

Had an argument with my mother over hotel rooms for Casey and Vanessa's wedding in May. A little background, Casey is the little brother of my friend Kevin who died in 1996 (see previous posts around November). He's like my little brother too, we all practically grew up together. Vanessa came into the picture when Casey was still in high school and before Kevin left us so I'd say they've been together for, ummm, about 7 or 8 years now. Kevin hated her. He did not want to see Casey going out with her. I was willing to give her a chance until the first time she went on vacation with us (my family, Casey, Chet & Cathy). While I will admit I am no girlie girl, I do take the time to make myself look presentable every now and then. Hey, there is no one I need to impress. Take me as I am. But I digress, Vanessa on the other hand took an hour, yes I said an hour to get ready just to go to the beach! Hellooo, what is the point when you are just going to get icky anyway from sand and water? She is such a priss it is unbelievable.

Sorry, got off on a tangent there.

The hotel room arguement. My mother and father (ironic, huh?) seem to think it would be a good idea for all four of us to share a room. They got highly perturbed when I suggested otherwise. Let's see why wouldn't I want to stay in the same room as my parents? Hmmm, could it be I am 27 freaking years old and don't exactly want to! Who's to say the planets won't be in alignment and all time will cease to exist and I for once will hook up?! How awkward would that be.

"Oh, excuse me, I have to make sure my parents aren't in the room so we can finish what we started." Please. I'm a grown up (sometimes). I wish they would start treating me like one.

Well then, now that little rant is out of the way.

I had every intention of getting back on track food wise. Notice the word had in that last sentence. The chocolate made me do it. I had a handful of M&M's and a mini Snickers. Sigh. Such an addiction. could be worse though. Hopefully I'll get myself back into shape when we start our training for hockey. Coach John is supposed to be writing out a program for us. The other players want to pick a night to hit the weight room at the rink and train together. That would be nice, but I don't have much free time as it is.

Bugger, it's snowing again. Click on the Doppler to see how bad we are going to get nailed. If you really want an explanation as to what a Doppler is and why we should not make fun of it (I've heard the speech too many times), I can direct you to friend Bob. He doesn't like it when I mock the Doppler.
