Last night I did something I have not done in a long time. I stayed up just to watch a movie. Jeez, the last time I did that was in college. After Boston Public was over I was bored and started my usual flipping around from one station to the next (Room mate Marti says I'm worse than a guy. No offence to my male friends.) looking for something interesting. Then I landed on Turner Classic Movies. This month in honor of the Oscars they are doing a 31 Days of Oscar promo. I happened to catch the last part of Sleepless in Seattle and then stayed up to watch one of my all time favorites, When Harry Met Sally. What can I say, i'm a sucker for a sappy Meg Ryan movie. Surprisingly enough, I'm not too tired this morning. I thought I would regret my decision considering the movie didn't end until 11:30 and I had to be up around 5 a.m. this morning. Nope. Feel pretty good right now. Just wait until later, I'll probably crash and burn at job #2.

Very proud of myself on the diet front as well. Only ate a little bit of bad stuff (some peanut butter filled pretzels) yesterday morning. Pretty much stuck to the good stuff the rest of the day. Heck, I didn't even snack between lunch and dinner. Impressed, aren't you? Not only that, I managed to get a good run in before dinner. Damn I'm good. Probably the reason I slept so well.

Plans are being finalized for St. Louis. I'm sticking to my guns about my driving myself out there. I'm sorry but there is absolutely no way I am going to be stuck in a car with that many members of my family for that period of time. My sister, maybe I can handle. I'll just give her control of the CD player and when she conks out put in my own music anyway. It will be nice to see my cousin again. I'm curious to see how he's changed. Having a baby and getting engaged in the course of a year will make anyone mature quickly, let alone a 20 year old college student. Almost makes me feel like he's the older one.

Oh well. I'm just going to keep living my life the way I want and the heck with anyone else. It is after all, my life.
