O.k., now that I know it is working again, I will continue with the post I had all typed out and ready to go until my computer ate it. I am totally convinced that these things hate me.
This scares me. I really have my fingers crossed that nothing will happen until after Bob and his friends their feet firmly planted back on American soil. I'll feel even better when I get a phone call from him after he gets back. Sigh. I'm so not happy about all of this going on. While most of it is for selfish reasons (have you seen the price of gas lately?!) the other part is I just don't know how I feel about this. On one hand I do agree something needs to be done about Mr. Sadaam. He has been given ample opportunities to disarm. The attrocities he has committed against his own people are just unbelievable. On the other hand though, who the hell are we (the U.S. government) to tell a country to disarm itself when we are stockpiled with nuclear arms and weapons of mass destruction?!
Very messy situation. Check out this site. Sites is a reporter covering the situation first hand. His insights and first hand accounts are very eye opening.
My boys are the ACC Champs baby! Woo-Hoo! Best part was Wake losing. Ha Ha! Sorry Chad, but the regular season championship doesn't mean squat unless you've got the Tournament ring! Five times I might add, five times in a row.
Philly was fun. Hit some very nice bars. Standard Tap in the North Liberties area was pretty cool. Food was very good and they had some awesome local brews on tap. Since I was driving I didn't drink much. Just something at Standard Tap and then a beer at Monk's Cafe on South 16th near Broad around the City Hall. It wouldn't have been a night out if I didn't do something to embarass myself though. At Monk's I sauntered up to the bar and when the bartender asked me what I wanted I replied "What do you reccommend?". After he finished laughing at me and showed me the beer menu (over 250 beers available) I tried one ordered for me by one of the locals. It was called Chimmay. Not bad, a little too hoppy for my taste but not unbearable. We finished out the night at Nodding Head Brewery on Sansom. Cool place, very busy. I didn't try any of their beer because of the whole driving home factor but everyone else enjoyed their brews. The best part was seeing some old friends who have since moved on to bigger and better things. I miss all of my buds from the YDR.
Didn't get home until 3 a.m. I'm getting too old for that.
Now I'm sitting here at work unable to do anything because a) as horrible as this sounds, no one interesting died this week and b) I have no voice because of my stupid allergies. I think I may hang around for a little bit then bug out early and hit the gym.
