Sad day for the Democratic Party. One of the last true leaders is gone. I admired Daniel Patrick Moynihan. He was a man of convictions, stuck to his guns (even when it meant going against party majority) and usually won the day. His influence on politics will be sorely missed.

Duke plays Kansas tonight. Unfortunately I'm going to miss most of the game since it doesn't start until close to 9. I've got my fingers crossed for this one. It's all going to depend on which version of J.J. Redick shows up. ESPN agrees (o.k., Andy Katz agrees). As long as he's on and hits those 3's, they should pull it out. I just hope I wake up to a victory. I don't want the sympathy card.

Remembered last night that Brent's birthday is April 6. Ugh. There is no way his package is going to make it to Kenya by then. Oh well. I'm just prolonging it for him. Yeah. That's it. Besides, I wanted to sit down and actually write a letter to put into his card. I can't believe he's been gone for almost three months already. Time flies when your friends are all off in exciting new places and you are stuck in this dinky boring pain in the butt town.

Received my invitation for Casey & Vanessa's wedding at the end of May. I don't mind the invitation only coming to my attention. No biggie. What did bother me was the fact that on the R.S.V.P. card the number attending was already filled in with a 1. I mean, yeah, I hadn't planned on taking a date but it would have been nice to have the option. I mean, it could happen. Maybe. Oh who am I kidding.
