Check it out! I actually made the front of the Local section today. Pretty damn good story if I do say so myself. Could have been better. I always see the faults after the story is printed. This is the kind of stuff I like writing too, the featury kind of things. Since my time at sporting events is dwindling (is that a word? Well, it is now) due to my sports editor not sending me out anymore it's a possibility I should look into. Maybe think about looking for those kind of jobs.

My sister turned 20 today. Sigh. I feel old. I can remember the day she was born in 1983. I was just excited to get my bunkbeds. They (the bunkbeds) had been promised to me if my mom had a girl. When you're seven and about to lose your only child status, that's pretty much all you can think about. Of course, my grandfather died 3 days after she was born. I was too young to really understand my feelings about it at the time. All I knew was that I now had a sister and the one person in my family that spoiled me rotten was gone. I can't believe its been 20 years.

I never did get those damn bunkbeds.
