I weep for the future of our country. As I always do, I clicked on one of the blogs listed under recently updated, just to see what other people are writing about. I happened to click on this site. Sigh. Do they NOT teach proper grammer in schools anymore? I know Room mate Marti covers it in her classes. I know other english teachers who teach it as well. Several years ago the "whole language" movement went through our education system. The kids were supposed to learn their spelling by writing words the way they sounded. Not the correct way as found in the dictionary. The concept has since gone out the window but now we have a whole generation of children who spell words like generation like this: jenerashon. Very frustrating. See why I want to become a teacher?

Oh jeez, I just caught some of my own errors in the last posting. Better start with myself before I go and try to improve someone else's problems.

Today is a blah day. The weather is rainy and gray. I don't feel like writing much. You can amuse yourselves here if you need to. I need to get back to work. Woo-hoo.
