The clock on my computer is telling me it's 11:37 p.m. It feels like it's 2:37 a.m. My sleep patterns are not healthy. If I am lucky I get six hours a night. Seven is a luxury and eight, well, eight is heaven on earth. Because of the nature of my jobs I just can not get much more than six. Usually it's closer to five, some nights by the time I leave job #2 and get home, I am only in my bed for 4-1/2 hours. Sigh. I don't know what I'd do if I had more sleep. Shoot, I don't know what I'd do if I had more free time. I read somewhere ( I don't remember where) that the amount of sleep you get is directly proportional to the conciseness ($1.50 word) of your memory. Holy pete. No wonder I had the problem I did at Wal-Mart this afternoon. In a nutshell, I took my wallet out of my purse to get some dinero at the MAC machine. Forgot to put said wallet back into purse (it was a 10 second drive from the MAC to Wal-Mart I might add) and when I went to pay for my much needed contact solution and mega bottle of Advil, I did not have a red cent on me. The nice lady at the register asked if I had a credit card. Nope, in my wallet. Write a check? Sure! I starte writing my check, she asked for my driver's license...in the car. Transaction had to be cancelled, I was late getting back to work and still didn't have my contact solution and Advil.

If I had that extra sleep and time in my day, what would I do with it? I don't know. Well, yeah I do. I'd read more. Probably exercise more. Talk to my friends and family, um, strike that, more time for my friends and only slightly more for my family. I can only put up with them for so long. Do the things I enjoy more. Spend more time at my favorite place. I like to go there sometimes just to sit and watch the clouds go by or if I have something I need to think about, I go there. I've made a lot of big decisions sitting on the hill overlooking the Susquehanna.

Now I'm just waiting for Mark to finish putting our page together. It shouldn't take him that long. Shouldn't being the main word in that sentence. We have a 30 minute early deadline tonight, so we should be sending our page to the presses soon. Then I can go home and crawl into my nice comfy bed with the pink sheets.
