We need to do something about these Republicans. Caught this little item on the Washington Post's website today. Very bad for Pro-choice side of the table. Roe v. Wade is slowly getting whittled away to nothing. Not good. Not good at all. Also saw a small item (buried I might add in my own newspaper on page 5A) yesterday about the House trying to pass an amendement banning flag burning. They try this every year in the hopes it will pass and it usually doesn't. Usually. I'm afraid one of these times the amendment will get past the Senate and then you might as well kiss the First Amendment good bye. Ticks me off. Who are these people to tell me how I can and can't express myself. Damn conservatives!
Last night's scrimmage didn't go so well. We lost 10-0. I thought we played pretty well, I wasn't happy with my performance but all in all we did o.k. Found plenty of room for improvement. Playing against the guys was good for us though. Their level of play is a lot higher than what we'll face in the MAWHL so it makes us work harder and gets us ready for our league games. Found out last night our captain Barb (LD) and her daughter Jen (center/RW) are moving back to New York. They'll be sorely missed. Barb is an excellent defenseman and Jen had some great speed on the front line. I'll miss them.
Still no word about the Florida job. Ack. Can't handle the waiting. Patience was never one of my better virtues.
