My friend Erin was in town today. In between both jobs and making cookies I managed to put in a visit earlier this evening. It was so nice seeing her, I miss having her closer than two hours away. When we get together it's just like old times. Very comfortable. Lots of laughs. Her son is the same way. I was afraid when she had Addyson that our friendship would change. We wouldn't have much in common, grow apart and only see each other at reunions every five years. Luckily that hasn't been the case. Can't say the same for some of my other friends who have moved off into the married world. Sigh. Not that I'm in any hurry to get to that planet, because let's face it, being married is like living on a different planet. Hell, I'd just be happy to have a relationship that lasted more than just three months.

Tomorrow has the potential to be either very relaxing or very hectic. The scales hinge on when and what my first phone call at job #1 is. If it's something easy, I could very possibly cruise through my day. Usually the Friday before a holiday is quiet. My fingers are crossed that tomorrow will follow the pattern. I will be at job #2 tomorrow evening for the first Football Friday of the high school football season. Here is the finished product of my football preview. I'm kind of proud of it considering it was thrown at me last minute. We lost two correspondents recently so I am hoping that translates into more time out at games this year. As much as I enjoy working news once a week, my heart still belongs in sports.

I will also be doing my first official weigh in since I put myself back on the plan. I'm hoping something will show on the scale. This past week I have been working my tail end off. Granted, there have been a slip or two (the small sliver of brownie I had today for example). I'm keeping myself moving as much as possible though so we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Tonight are the MTV VMA's (Video Music Award). I have been waiting for Coldplay to take the stage. Coolest part so far? Duran Duran getting the lifetime acheivement award. I was as giddy as I was when I bought my first album, Hungry Like the Wolf. Oh yeah baby.
