Very interesting weekend. Too short. Friday night Kim, Dana, Jessie (girls from the hockey team) and I got together for a Mary Kay party. We were really just there to help Jessies's sister get a start in her new career as a Mary Kay lady. She pretty much just put all of her samples out on the table and let us play around. I did manage to find a pinkish colored lipstick and eyeshadow I liked. Normally I'm not a pink person but this stuff looked nice. We went out afterward for beers and to just hang out. I can't answer for the others but I had a good time. Bob called around 11 for a Denny's run so I joined him for that. My head didn't hit the pillow until around 1:30 a.m. Saturday was a day of errands. I only really get one full day to get stuff done anymore so I ran around like a banshee going to the gym, doing laundry and cleaning my bathroom. By the time I got to Anne's dinner at 4:30 I was freaking exhausted. The dinner was nice. As usual Anne's mom made way too much food. All of it was very good though. I thought I did a good job sticking to the healthy stuff but only time or the scale will tell.

Hockey this morning was nothing short of a disaster. Only 3 of us showed up dressed in our gear. Jonda and I then Amber one of our goalies. The other three that made an appearance were hurt in one way or another and couldn't lace up. Sigh. I really don't think we're going to have a team. Jonda and I spent the entire hour doing drills up and down the ice while Amber (or Princess as we refer to her) did goalie drills with Steve. He was not happy with the turnout. Don't blame him. I was there because I want to play. Plain and simple. We did stand around and talk a little bit after practice and when Jonda and I were making plans to car pool Tuesday Steve looked all upset we were going to tryout for Lancaster. Whatever. I just looked at him and told him I wanted to play, whether it was with our team or the Blades. A final decision about the team is supposed to be made in the next week or two.

We got on the topic of reunion's at the party. There were a good number of people there who were parents of people Anne, Bob, Jenny and I had graduated with. Most of them said their kids were wondering if we were having anything. Bob and I just looked at each other and rolled our eyes. Nobody wanted to do anything with this stupid reunion but now that they all know something is in the works, they want to get all into it. Sigh. I say fine, let someone else handle it. I'm tired of dealing with the whole thing anyway. Good thing Bob is all gung-ho about this thing. He's done so much to try and pull this thing together I hope it goes well. From what I understand responses have been coming in steadily.

My boy is really raising a ruckus on the political scene. Sure, the fight is not going to be easy but I think Dr. Dean will comb out on top. Give those freaking Republicans a run for their money.

Yawn. o.k. have a story to write. Better get cracking. In a minute...or 20.
