According to Accuweather, this area received around 9" of snow between Friday and Saturday. I talked to one of the meteorologists there for a weather follow up in tomorrow's edition. Bob has no love for Accuweather, I suggested once he go work there and you would have thought I told him to go much stalls at Penn National for a living. He's such a weather snob. Still, my hockey game Satruday was postponed. That bummed me out because I was supposed to hang out with Erin and the baby before the game. Bah. Stupid Pennsylvania weather. Worse was the condition of our parking lot at the apartment complex. The people contracted to do our parking area only plowed once. Friday night. Around 10 p.m. Uhhh, sorry, but we had an additional 3 or 4" after they finished. As of this afternoon it still was not redone and was a total mess. I hope I can find someplace to park.

I think I'm starting to come down with something. My throat has been scratchy and I've got a pounding headache. Ugh. I better not be getting sick. I'm supposed to go to Philadelphia tomorrow for a Mary Kay meeting. Woo-hoo!

Today is Pearl Harbor Day. Please take a moment to read a little bit about that day. It is important for numerous reasons, the least of which being that the events of that day drew us into World War II. It's important for us to remember our past. My 7th grade history teacher, Mr. Moyer, had a quote by George Santayana "Those who do not study the past are doomed to repeat it". I never did get the real meaning of that quote until I got to college but it's true. We only learn from our mistakes of the past. Too bad our current president isn't familiar with that concept. Check out this story on MSNBC or this piece from the San Diego Union Tribune. For more background type stuff, check out The History Channel's website.
