The following is just a smidge of what went on over the weekend (in no particular order):

- Worked my patootie off at the Lobster for squat in tips
- Woke up way earlier than I should have Saturday morning for my knitting class
- Knitting class was cancelled...didn't find out until I got there
- Wasted an hour (and some money I really shouldn't have) at Target
- Attended a Kerry/Edwards rally downtown
- Partied like a rock star after work at a local dive bar
- Drank more than I should have
- Was kissed...very well I might add
- Didn't get home until 9:45 a.m. Sunday (from the previous night)
- Crawled into bed Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. and slept straight through until my alarm went off this morning

All elements of a good weekend, I would say.

The rally was awesome. Chad had mentioned it to me before but I was planning on being at the knitting class while it was going on, so originally it wasn't on the agenda. When the class was cancelled, I called Messieur Baker and we met at the steps of the new Judicial Center for the rally. I was a little late as I had been enjoying some coffee (once in awhile is not going to hurt me) and a bagel at Sparky & Clarks and lost track of time. The whole event, while only 30 minutes long, was very stirring. I was excited to see so many people there in support of the Democractic candidate! Even more exciting to me was the diversity within the group gathered in the cold to cheer our man on. As I looked around I saw old and young, black, white, men and women...it really got the old blood pumping again! Finally I remembered what it was like to really get excited about something. A feeling I haven't felt for a long time.

Just maybe, I'm finally getting back to my old self again...It's about damn time.
