In with a roar
Spring has announced it's presence quite loudly today. I'm wearing my pink sparkly flip flops in honor of the occasion. Bought a few months ago, I've been dying for the weather to get warm so I could wear them. Even though it's only in the high 40s today, I felt moved to expose my toes.
Right now it's raining so hard I can hear it on the roof. Every now and then thunder will make the walls rattle a little bit. That's what you get working in a shoddily put together box. I've just turned the music up so I can't hear it. There's nobody else but me here, so I can be as loud as I want.
Today is a work day for me. No rest for the dead, so to speak. One of my coworkers is celebrating her birthday today, so being the nice girl I am, I am working for her. It's the least I can do, considering I am taking off a whole week in November for my own. Hey, if I have to 30, I'm at least going to enjoy it, damn it.
My sister called this morning. She was at the beach and wanted to share the sound of the waves with me. Bitch. She lives only 45 minutes from the North Carolina shores and never stops reminding me about it. I told her if she found me a job down there, I'd move to the area. Sunshine and warmth a good portion of the year plus close proximity to Camp Lejune...yeah, I'd move down there in a heartbeat.
