Every now and then I pick up a copy of Shape magazine when I'm at the local grocery store. It is actually one of the better fitness and health magazine's out there. Trust me, I know as I've been suckered into reading most of them in the hope that there will be some miracle hidden in one of them that will tell me how to be a super skinny model type. Unfortunately, the search for the holy grail continues ("Run away! Run away!"). But I digress. The point is I was paging through this month's issue and lo and behold, there was a girl I knew in college in the section they do about real people and how they took off weight and kept it off. Now, I knew Joan had lost a lot of weight but wow, does she look great now! I'm so impressed and inspired. Sooo, today I'm back on plan. I admit I've gained back a few pounds since I stopped going to LA Weightloss. Granted, I've managed to keep most of it off but I want to look good again. It felt great to be told I looked good. Of course, the attention from the guys wasn't all that bad either.
So the US is still going strong. The tie with South Korea helped. Now all the boys have to do is get a win or even just tie Poland and we're into the elimination round. How sweet would that be?! I just might get up on Friday morning to watch. God I love this sport. There is nothing like the feeling of standing on the field just before kickoff waiting for the ball to make its way toward you. Then stopping the little bastard in its tracks and launching it straight up the field to one of your forwards who weaves their way into the box sending a rocket past the goalie.
Oh crap, just noticed my boss is here. Damn, I better get going. She'll probably come back here in a minute and yell at me for being on the internet. Heaven forbid we know how to use modern technology around here. I think their all scared of me. Oh yeah, that's it. They are all in amazement of my technological skill.
Ha. That's a good one.
