Found a neat little site based on the comic Non-Sequitur which appears in the Sunday edition of our other local paper. Click on the Homer section. Brings up some really thought provoking ideas about past lives and whether or not our souls are recycled. On some level I believe that we are "reused". That when this life is over we move on to a new life to learn new lessons and so on. I believe my interest in history, especially certain periods in history, stems from this. Maybe I did live in the south during the American Civil War or was a native Celt in Ireland during the start of the British invasion in the Middle Ages. It is also suggested that we keep coming back with the same group of people. Which explains why a person may seem so familiar the first time you meet them that you are sure you met before. Even the idea of soulmates appeals to me. I know, I know. For all of my cynicism about love and romance, hard to believe, but it is true. I am thoroughly convinced that there is a soulmate for everyone, it just seems mine is either comotose in a bed in Malaysia or in jail.
Itching to get back on the ice. It has been almost four weeks since I've been to hockey and I can hardly stand it. Of course, this week when I have a free Saturday night we don't have practice because of the holiday. Bah. Not sure what I'm going to do Saturday night. Marti will be around, Bob's working and there has been some talk of Leslie possibley coming home but no one is sure. Considering I am now on a major crusade to save some dinero (especially for Ireland) I am trying my hardest to find cheap entertainment. The best form of cheap entertainment starts next week. Oh yeah, it's Fair time. Let the fun begin. The best part is to go and people watch. Tee-Hee. I swear, all of the freaks come out of the woodwork for this one. If you are in the area, stop by.
A little fun about the British monarchy before I go. Check this out.
Good night my loves.
