I could have sworn I heard a news report this morning stating the baseball strike was not going to hapen and play would continue through the rest of the season. Not that it matters much to the O's. While they had a surprisingly good season post Ripken, those damned freaking Yankees are still on top of the AL East. Ugh. I hate those guys. This piece in the Sports section of MSNBC is worth your time. While I do not agree with some of his points, I do agree with Boswell that baseball is at a crossroads in this country. Basically its sink or swim time. Unfortunately, the only way we the fans will be able to send the message that we're not going to take anymore of this nonsense is to not go to games. Can you imagine trying to coordinate that protest?!
