Ever have one of those days where nothing goes right? Today is one of those days. I no sooner sat down at my desk than my entire cup of coffee was in my lap. For those of you who know me well, this should come as no shock to you. On top of that my computer started going all weird on me and I was forced to switch keyboards with the empty desk until our IS person gets his butt up here. Then again, that is not such a bad thing as he does have a rather nice butt. However, I digress.
Attended the York Fair Friday night. You have not experienced this part of the United States until you have been to the fair. Like I said before, all of the freaky freaks come out of the woodwork. There were mullet sightingsleft and right, and to top it all off Skynard was playing that night. What a hoot. Bob and I tried our hand at a game of luck called I Got It and we got it! I won a stuffed Winnie the Pooh and Bob won a stuffed Clifford the Big Red Dog. Cheesy I know but fun just the same. No skill involved at all in this game, just a matter of tossing your rubber ball into the grid and hoping you get 5 in a row. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Planning my mother's birthday party this week. That woman is getting harder and harder to buy for, when I asked her yesterday at yet another family function what she wanted, she just shrugged and said "I don't know". Frustrating. I know she has other things on her mind but a little help would be nice! Speaking of other things on her mind, supposedly my dad moved back into the house yesterday. Yeah, we've been through this little song and dance before. I'm not holding my breath.
Anyone get the new U2 cd Best of 1990-2000? It just came out on Thursday with another cd that has the best of their B sides. I have not made the trip to Target for my copy yet but I hope to have it in my hot little hands before the weekend. If you happen to have it, let me know what you thought.
