Saw Erin, Tim and the baby last night. Holy cutie. As soon as I walked in the door Tim was asking me if I wanted to hold him, of course I did but I didn't want to interrupt daddy-baby bonding time. Tim insisted though so of course I said yes. Let me tell you, as soon as that little guy was in my arms I starting hearing this very faint tick-tick-tick-tick in the back of my head. Sigh, I guess it was bound to happen eventually. Looks like the old biological clock has started. Ugh.

So now I'm 26 and I'm starting to feel the pressure. That in itself wouldn't be so bad if I had the whole guy thing figured out. The whole concept of understanding the male version of the human race is just totally escaping me. Just when I think I know what works, bam, something throws me off course. Honestly, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I am in the middle of reading the new Cosmo and there is an article titled "How to be the girl guys fall for". I was intrigued, so I read. Aparently, I already qualify and I am the kind of girl that guys fall for (using the criteria in the box on page 25 in the All About Men section). If that is true, then why the hell can't I get any guy with in a 4 hour radius to be interested?! .

Here is the list from Cosmo, you tell me what you think (this list applies to several other wonderful female friends of mine as well who also happen to single. I think we need to start a support group.):

1. Orders beer - I'd rather have a Yuengling than a martini any day.
2. Relates to Cameron Diaz in There's Something Aout Mary - Except for being super skinny and having a wonderful job like the character, yeah, this one applies.
3. Loves cozy inns.
4. Thinks catching a movie is a great date - Can't wait for the new Bond flick.
5. Cooks dinner sometimes - While I'd rather bake, I like to try to cook new things (ie: my new chili recipe).
6. Changes her guy's sheets - If I had one I'd do it, occasionally.
7. Likes to drive - Check my 1-1/2 year old car's odometer (28,000 +/- miles).
8. Yells at the TV when the ref makes a bad call - Try being in the room with me during college basketball season when a Duke game is on.
9. Tells you what to buy her - My birthday/Christmas list.
10. Takes her boyfriend to French movies - O.k., maybe not this one since I don't understand French, but substitute Spanish and I'm game.
11. Volunteers for the dunking booth - Been there, done that.
12. Won't leave the house without kissing her pets - Can't leave my parents house with out saying good by to my Wojy puppy.
13. Plays at least one sport - All I have to say is ice hockey.

So after that, can someone explain to me why I am still single? Am I too picky? Could that be my problem? Oh god, I guess it's time to start lowering my standards again.
