Snow is a four letter word. No, really, it is. We had close to 24" of the stuff fall here since Sunday morning. I was stranded in my apartment until 8 a.m. this morning when the apartment complex maintenance people finally decided to get their act together and plow us out. Between the continually growing feeling of claustrophobia and room mate Marti's incesant whining about her boyfriend, I though I was going to go nuts. Thank god he finally called so she's off of that subject. I sincerely contemplated slipping something into her hot cocoa yesterday afternoon and burying her in the drift outside of our door.

Not counting the major weather event from the weekend it was pretty quiet. Friday I was the Lobster then went to Denny's from there. We took our Ireland pictures so he could see what was waiting for him in a couple of weeks. Of course, Marti brought along the picture she took of me getting sick during the Ring of Kerry tour. Biotch. Not my finest hour. Sunday I made one trip out to church and back and that was about it. Nice and quiet. I need that every now and then.

Let me just tell you, as much as I enjoyed not going to work yesterday, it was nice to escape the apartment. At least I was able to be around other people. I never realized how little there is on tv during the day. Thank the good lord I have something to look forward to tomorrow night when
