Now these, are recipes I can use.

Good lord, what a weekend. My entire weekend was taken up by the Wilmington Writer's conference. We sat in sessions about how to be better writers the whole time we were there. Most of the speakers were good but 3/4 of them were totally full of themselves and full of crap. The best speaker we saw was Sam Donaldson. Yes, that Sam Donaldson of ABC News. He is a very good public speaker. A bunch of us went out after our last session to the Brandywine Brewing Company. Very good beer ( I suggest the Raspberry Wheat) and the food is decent too. Just one word of caution, if you order the Jama Joe's Nachos, make sure you have lots of people to share them with. There were 8 of us at the table and we couldn't finish one order. Later we stopped at a distributor and the rest of the group got some liquor for later. Not that we were too shabby about it earlier. Everyone, exluding myself, went to another pub when we got back to the hotel but I stayed behind and hung out in the hot tub. Felt good on my sore muscles (I actually exercised before dinner). I tried to get to bed early, notice the word tried in that sentence. Lyzz and the rest of the group came trouping back into our room around midnight and didn't leave until 2:30 a.m. I was beat. Lyzz didn't even get out of bed this morning for the session with Phil Anastasia, a sports columnist with a paper in New Jersey. After the session was over we rushed home, I went to yet another baby shower and then straight here. I miss my lazy Sunday afternoons.

Tomorrow I'm going to dump one of the many projects I have been sucked into. My Habitat commitment is getting foisted off onto someone else from my church. He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to be in charge starting tomorrow. I just can't do it anymore, I don't have the time to commit to it. I also turned down a position on the homecoming planning committee for Ship. Again, there just aren't enough hours in the day.

Speaking of I need to go home. I still have not unpacked and I need some dinner. And sleep, yeah, sleep would be nice.
