I think I may just about be losing my mind. Either that or I've seen way too many movies. Found out a little more information about Pete and it's freaking me out a little bit. I knew he was older than I am by about 10 years or so. Try 10 + 5. Sigh. I shouldn't be bothered by that fact. It's just such a HUGE difference in life experience. Last night while I was at work I decided to play around on Google and find some of his stories floating out there on the internet. Clicked on a list of grads from his college alma mater UMBC (Univ. Maryland Baltimore County) and found that he graduated in the 1980's. Ack. I was still quite young in the 1980's. Like elementary school young. Like I graduated from high school in 1993.

Sigh. I'm over reacting, right? I mean, age shouldn't matter, right? Unfortunately that number is stuck in the back of my head. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to meet him for dinner Friday. Who knows, maybe I've been going at this all wrong. Maybe older guys are the route to take. God knows I haven't been having luck with men my own age. Sigh. This shouldn't be this tough! Besides, it worked for Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfus in Once Around.

See, I watch too many movies. It's making me want the Gershwin and fireworks. Then again, I can't lower my standards any more than they already are. I once had a laundry list of what I was looking for in a guy. Now I'll just accept breathing without a mullet. Oh, and over 21. Can't take the young ones to a bar unless they can get past a good bouncer.

Tonight we get our jersey's for hockey. Woo-Hoo! If we have a team that is. People are dropping off left and right and if we don't have enough, I'm afraid we'll have to back out of the league. It kind of ticks me off because when you sign up for this stuff you need to realize it's for the long haul. One good thing I learned from my dad was once you start something, you see it through to the end. At the beginning of every soccer season he would ask me if I was sure I wanted to play because once my registration was in, there was no backing out. Trust me, I learned quickly no matter how hard I begged there was no getting out practice, games, etc. Unless I was bleeding from one eye and had a bone sticking out of an appendage.

Better get back to work. All the big bosses are here today, yee ha. Let me bow down and grovel...I think not.
