Welcome to the main event folks...Decision 2004. That's right, we're deep into the next presidential election season. The more I follow former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean the more I like what he has to say. Don't get me wrong, as much as I admire Carol Mosley Braun and like John Kerry, I think Dean makes the best choice. Check out his positions on the website. Here is text from his candidacy anouncement speech on June 23. It was webcast but because of other commitments (kickboxing) I was unable to see any of it.
Funny part is while Dean was very quietly but firmly announcing his bid for the Democratic nomination, a certain Republican was made to look quite the political panhandler. Makes me laugh. Let our esteemed (ha!) president run again I say. He's fouled things up so bad a monkey could beat him next year.
For all of my fellow Camp Shippy grads, I heard something today that totally reminded me of Wibs (can you believe they have their own website?!). Over my lunch hour I heard that classic "I like to move it, move it" you know which song I'm talking about too. I cranked that sucker and my Saturn and I rocked through Manchester. Heck, I even took the long way back to work so I could hear the whole thing. Lol, I got some strange looks from people but who cares. That song totally reminds me of college and some of the best times I ever had.
Three days and counting...oh god, three days. I've gone through three different outfit possibilities and toyed with the idea of getting a hair cut before then. You know, in my spare time. If I had any. Ugh. Marti got all excited when I mentioned Pete lives in Baltimore. Her man Eric lives in Baltimore too. She's already got a double date planned. I on the other hand would like to just survive the first and go from there. Ack! I'm going to be a nervous wreck on Friday.
Serenity now, serenity now....
