Take me out to the ball game, take me out to the crowd.

Sorry just practicing. Twenty more minutes to go. The longest bloody twenty minutes of my day. As Jill and I like to say, I hit the wall about an hour ago. Sigh. I want to get the heck out of here and get moving to Baltimore! All I'm doing now is listening to "Jezza's Virgin Confessions" (it's not as naughty as it sounds) on Virgin Radio and putzing around the internet. Woo-hoo. This is about as exciting as my day at job #1 gets.

While I was meandering about the internet I read my friend Dave's latest column. I wish I could write like he does. What I enjoy most about his pieces is the way he finds new ways to put a fresh voice on them. It isn't always the same boring style. SI and ESPN The Magazine don't know what they're talking about Dave! The heck with them.

Still nothing on the job in Florida. I've pretty much given up on this one. Tomorrow will be three weeks since I was contacted by the managing editor. HUGE SIGH. No acknowledgement of my resume. No more phone calls. Nothing. Blah. On the bright side it's making me focus more on school next year. I had been putting off calling for an appointment on the offhand chance someone would hire me. So now I make the call on Monday. I have to, it will be the only way I'll be able to retain the last shred of my sanity.
