The cost for hockey practice last night: $15 ice fee, 1 hockey stick and 1 reinjured shoulder. Practice was rough. My stick was broken when another player and I attempted to chase down the puck and ended up slamming into each other. I still say she got the worse part of that collision as she bounced when she landed. The shoulder was reinjured during our scrimmage time at the end. I stepped in to try and stop a forward racing down the ice, we collided, my shoulder popped, I popped it back in and it has been hurting ever since. Oh well. That's hockey though, right? Injuries of some kind are to be expected in all sports, not just hockey. They just make things more fun. Like my dad used to say during my soccer days...No blood, no foul.

My best friend from high school, Leslie emailed me today. She's been seeing a new guy and wanted me to cover for her this weekend. New guy is slightly younger. O.k., six years younger (he's closer to my sister's age). On top of that her parents are very Catholic and they would not have agreed to let her use their cabin if they new she was meeting New guy there for a trist. Lol. Leslie leads such an interesting life. Part of the reason we've been friends for so long is our mutual respect for the outrageous things we both do. That and our love of politics.

Lunch time. Better escape for an hour and get my salad. Woo-hoo!
