Just finished reading my latest book. Very funny, I definitely reccomend it. Without giving away the ending let me just say that I would love to say to any one of my 10 bosses (with the exception of one or two) what the lead character says to hers in the last 20 pages. Classic. I'm getting back into my reading mode again. When I was younger I was a voracious reader. Under the guise of good parenting my parental units bought an entire set of encyclopedias when I was about four or five. If I remember right they were called World Book or something like that. But I digress. When I was bored I would sit and read them. No, seriously. Probably why I have so much useless knowledge stuck in my head and kick butt at Trivia Pursuit. I mean, really, how many people in my generation actually know that Lawrence Welk's music was known as "champaign music"? Or that one of his signature songs was Tiny Bubbles? Sometimes the amount of random stuff just rattling around in my brain scares me.

I have a new book waiting in the wings. It's called Squeeze Play. I picked it up on a whim. Just reading the liner notes and some reviews make me think it will be right up my alley. Give me about a week or two and I'll come back with a review.

My knee gave out on me again last night. Right in the middle of one of our hockey drills. Right in front of my new coach. Sigh. All I could do was holler "F***ing knee!" , pop the sucker back in and keep going. I played through the rest of the night but it just swelled the second I got my pads off. I did manage to ice it for an hour before bedtime but I hardly slept since everytime I went to turn over on my left side I was in pain. God I'm 27 and I'm freaking falling apart. So I'm taking the next two days off exercise wise and wearing my brace. Friday night I'm going to try to get to the rink for the public skate and test things out. My skates also need to be sharpened a little bit.

The soon to be brother in law was home this weekend. My sister was elated. He really is a good guy. The way my family kids around he fits in just perfectly. We were running around my aunt's back yard Sunday smacking each other with a fly swatter. That is the way my mom's side of the family show's affection, we beat up on each other. Not like we all stand around and punch each other but we always end up ganging up on someone and tickling or starting a water fight. Sometimes its a food fight or a very competative game of SPUD. But always a good time.

I doubt I'll get back to the blog before Sunday so here's a quiz to hold you over. Funny part of this, is a two of my former hockey team mates and I danced on the bar at Coyote Hardware to this song. Sweet.

You Shook Me All Night Long
"You Shook Me All Night Long" (by AC/DC)
'Cause the walls start shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching
And we were making it and you -
Shook me all night long.
