Not quite sure what Gen. Wesley Clark's entering the race is going to mean for Dr. Dean. He definitely has a little more name recognition and former soldiers tend to poll well with the voters (ie: Eisenhower, Grant). I need to read more about Clark and see where he stands. I'm sure he'll have a lot of insight into our foreign policy which W has made a total mess of and the state of the U.S.'s military which, well, is out of the states. Clark's entry will definitely make this an interesting campaign season, not as if it wasn't already. Tomorrow Dr. Dean is webcasting a speech from Boston. I'm hoping to sneak onto the internet and catch some of it before I go to lunch.
I think this is an election year for my friend Brad's boss, Congressman Todd Platts. Todd's a good guy and I'm glad Brad is able to roll up his sleeves and get involved this way. It is good practice for when he runs for office. And he will. It's only a matter of time. Not that I'll vote for him (he's a little too far to the right for my taste) but I'll help him however I can.
Found out today my favorite lunch place is closing for good on Monday. In honor of it's last week of existence I have planned some of their wonderful chili into my diet tomorrow and on the last day the New England clam chowder.
A moment of silence please for The Big Dipper Cafe and it's wonderful soups...viva la crab soup!
thank you.

On the I wish I had known this when I was in college front...check out this little nugget on women having worse hangovers than men. Heck, I could have told them that! Anyone who happened across me during any weekend of my college career would have seen a true hangover in progress. Now I look back at my four years at Camp Shippy and wonder how in the heck I lived through it.
My poor liver is going to take decades to recover.
