Today is my appointment with my family doctor to discuss my low iron problem. I hope he can help me out on this. I've been stressing about it since I made the apointment. According to my mother it's hereditary and nothing a few nights a week of eating red meat wouldn't cure. Problem? I hate red meat. When I finally escaped to college I was able to escape the dinners of cube steaks (don't ask) and pork chops. You would think my switch to chicken and fish for 95% of my diet ( I still crave meatball subs every now and then) would make me healthier. Guess I was wrong. From what I understand some blood will be drawn and some tests will be done then a prescription will be written and I'll go on my merry way. We'll see about that last part.

It is finally starting to feel like fall in my neck of the woods. Last night the temp. dipped into the low 50's, perfect sleeping weather. I love autumn. There is something about the tang of falling leaves, the colors on the trees and slight hint of the need for a sweater that make this my favorite time of the year. There are three maple trees I can see from my window at job #1. Each one eventually turns a brilliant shade of red, orange or yellow. The other day on my lunchtime run I noticed one of them was starting to get red leaves. It made me very excited. Granted another reason I like this time of the year so much is because it means my birthday is coming up soon. Birthday's are a big deal in my family and I make sure everyone knows mine is on it's way (only 66 days away).

Speaking of my birthday it was announced at hockey practice last night we are going to get to play at the Giant Center on my birthday! How sweet is that?! We get to scrimmage on the ice for an hour before their game that night AND we get to stay for the game for free. Woo-hoo!

I'm so excited I'm already kvetching.
