This week has been so crazy I didn't realize I hadn't posted since Monday. Must be a new record for me. I apologize for my lack of attentiveness to the old blog.
Today was completely horrible. I overslept this morning barely making it to work at 7. When I got there the little red message light on my phone was lit up. Co-worker Jill was out. Again. She has a three year old that catches every single bug, flu or virus that comes down the pike. The little bugger started early this year. Usually if he's sick then that means she'll eventually get it too. Haven't these people ever heard of vitamins or innoculations?! Sigh. The part that really gets my pot boiling is the fact that when she's out I'm left with her work and mine. Yeah. Not cool. I don't mind covering for her but it gets very hectic in our department when only one person is there to answer both phones, enter orders and deal with cranky pain in the butt customers! Bah. To make matters worse I let my bad mood get to me and I snapped at Bob today. Over email nonetheless. Sigh. After I had an hour or two to cool off I sent an apology. I really didn't mean to respond to his email the way I did but I was in such a bad moment I kind of snapped. Sigh. Don't ever tell him I said this but he was right. I need to relax. In a major way. Right now I'm looking forward to my Saturday after hockey, knocking a few back at the Lucky Dog after our game then coming home and doing NOTHING.
Luckily tonight was quiet at job #2. We're moving between sports seasons and since the local high school teams around here suck, there's not much of a chance for any of them to get to the State Playoff level. On a brighter note, the ESPN/USA Today preseason College Basketball poll is out and look who's ranked #2...Duke baby! Woo-hoo!
Hey Chad, try not to cry too hard about the Demon Deacons only being ranked 21st. Ha Ha Ha! That's below UNC and only a few notches above Maryland...tee-hee, oh this is too good...guffaw...chuckle..wooo.
Oh yeah, I am soooo ready for this season to start.
