Ugh. I want to go back on vacation please. There is nothing worse than coming back from vacation and finding your computer screen still pink (it's dying a slow painful death) and an inbox sky high with paperwork. Sigh. It's going to be a late night tonight. Not too late though, Ed is on and we all know my obsession with that show. I also need to get my butt to the gym tonight. This weekend was wonderful with the exception of all of the horrible choices I made food wise. I'm just going to say there was a dinner at Cracker Barrel one night as well as a $10 all you could eat/drink pig roast on another. Oh yeah, I took full advantage of the drinking part. Lol, my friend Deb walked with me around the time share complex so I could sober up. It's been a long time since I've been that drunk.
As far as the weekend its self we didn't really do anything that spectacular. Since it was Scott and Elena's first time there we went to Colonial Williamsburg Friday after we got there and meandered around for a few hours. I don't exactly recall what we did that night but I know it involved drinking and playing some board games. Saturday we got a late start but worked in another trip to the restored area for some tours through the Capital Building and the Courthouse. I love doing that stuff. I think Scott and Elena liked it too, at least I know Elena did. History is so exciting to me. Don't ask me why but I love studying our country's past. Almost like I was there. Heck, for all I know I was. Creepy thought. Sunday was a shopping day. Everyone was gung-ho about hitting the outlets but I think I was the only one that bought anything. My personal favorite purchase is this very cool pair of Nine West Shoes that were on sale. They graced my feet today along with a black sweater set bought on sale at Eddie Bauer. According to one of my co-workers at job #1 the combination makes me look like a librarian with a naughty side. Lol, I guess that's a good thing!
So now it's back to the grind. Trying to catch up at job #1 and putting in a bunch of shifts at job #2 to make up for my being out for so many days. This weekend I don't think I'm going to be home for more than 3 hours. Friday night I'm working a shift at job #2, Saturday I have two hockey games (one at PSU in the afternoon and my last rookie league game that night), Sunday I'll be working at job #2 again. Sigh. No rest for the weary.
On the bright side college basketball season starts at midnight on Thursday. Woo-hoo! I can't wait to see my Dukies in action. They are looking good this year too. Lots of veterans from the ACC Championship team (oh yeah Chad, I said it!) of last year are back. They should romp through the ACC pretty easily this season. I'm only worried about Maryland and maybe Wake. We'll see.
Jeez, didn't realize the time. I better get moving if I want to get my butt to the gym by 6:30. If I can recall anything else from the weekend I'll post it but my brain is mush right now and I'm having a hard time remembering my own name.
Toodles
