Well haven't I become quite the little party girl lately. It's the kids I work with at the Lobster. They're all in their early 20s still in that party till you puke, wipe your mouth then do it all over again stage. Sadly, I'm the tag-along late 20-something that gets to have fun too. Pathetic, I know to try and hang on to my college days like this but let me tell ya, the kids are all right. Last night my friend Connie had a birthday shin-dig at her house. We drank, a lot. Until the cops showed up that is. That was about the time instant sobriety washed over me (along with Ivan's monsoon type rains) and I grabbed my other friend Jen and her man to high tail it out of there. No way Jose is this girl getting nailed for providing liquor to minors (there were several of my less than 20 co-workers in attendance).

Tonight another one of my co-workers is having yet another party. One thing's for sure, no shots tonight. Nuh-uh. Nada. This time it was clearly specified no one under the age of 21 allowed. I'm down with that. She doesn't want to be held responsible if anything happens. No harm in being too cautious. Wouldn't hurt me to learn that lesson myself actually.

I should not be allowed to have implements of communication in my general vicinity when I've been drinking. Oy. Let's just say someone is going to laugh his ass off at me when he listens to his voicemail Monday morning and someone else now problably thinks I'm a complete and utter jackass.

So goes my life though. You live, you learn, you start hiding your cell phone when you're drunk.
