The bags still haven't arrived yet. I'm starting to feel like a kid at Christmas waiting for my mom to give the go ahead with the presents under the tree. Monday I had a bit of a tease when I arrived home to find a Fed-Ex tag hanging on the front door. I was all kinds of excited hoping it would mean my new goodies had arrived.
Then I looked closer at the tag.
It had the room mate's name on it. He didn't remember ordering anything that would come by Fed-Ex so I tried to reason it out.
"Maybe they just put your name on there since it's the first name on the mailbox."
"Could be. But I really don't remember ordering anything. It's got to be your bags."
"But they said they were sending them by UPS..."
"Maybe they changed their mind."
He really was no help and couldn't understand my excitement over two purses. Especially when I already have "about a gazillion already." Hmph. Men. They just don't get it.
I went for a run and when I got back we took a trip to the Fed-Ex hub. My excitement was so overwhelming by this point I could hardly sit still. That and I had to pee (damn kidney stones). But I digress. We gave the very nice lady behind the counter the slip and waited (impatiently in my case) for her to return with whatever it was that would be the newest addition to the house.
She brought out a small box. For my room mate. With Christmas ornaments from Hallmark. I couldn't have been more dissapointed if you had told me Coach K was retiring.
So I'm still waiting. Patience is not one of my better virtues so this is absolutely killing me. Killing me I tell you!
Hmmm, maybe I should have made working on being more patient one of my resolutions. Nah. That's one I'm never going to get over.
