I'm not sure but I think Pierre L'Enfant was high when he designed our capitol. Posted by Hello

No seriously, would you take a look at all of the criss crossing and freaking circles! Jeez. I'm sure it was fine in a buggy but well, as anyone who has been stuck in Dupont Circle at rush hour can tell you, it's no picnic in a car. Tomorrow things will be made worse when His Accidency is sworn in. Guh. Four more years of this crap. Every W04 sticker I still see pisses me off all over again.

Tonight I was able to reabsorb into Sammy's Hill. A month ago I picked it up at Borders and jumped right in but the holidays and other issues got in the way and before I knew it I hadn't picked it up in over a month. Soooo, with Him out of the way and lots of free time again I jumped back in with both feet.

Let me tell you, I love this book. Sammy could be me. Only she has a way more interesting job and as I imagine her to be, is way thinner and prettier. But personality wise, it's like we were seperated at birth. Right down to the embarassing ability to say the wrong thing at the right time. This book has fired me up on the political level too. I miss politics. I miss College Democrats (founding member of the Camp Shippy group).

This time to myself has really been an eye opener. There are so many things that I had forgotten that I enjoy doing. Walking through my neighborhood after a bad day at work. Being totally engrossed in a book. Spending time with friends and family. All parts of my life that have fallen by the wayside. All things that are coming back to me.

It's about time, I missed so much of this stuff. And I hardly even knew it.

CONGRATULATIONS TO KELLY OF Redheaded8itch!
She was my 10,000th visitor and in honor of that I will be sending her a little something by way of gratitude.
From the bottom of my heart I sincerely thank each and every one of you for stopping by my little corner of the blogosphere. This blog originally started as a release for my frustrations in all of the things going on with my parents. While that situation has yet to resolve itself, this blog has evolved over the last couple of years into a place that has allowed me to meet some great people and share a little bit of my life with all of you.
Thanks again for stopping by and please feel free to email me anytime. I welcome it!
