Now can we panic?!
The weathermen said the S word yesterday. We're forecasted for anywhere from 1 to 8 inches of the stuff, depending on which local weather hack you listen to.
Some school districts have already closed and there isn't even a flake on the ground yet! Jeez. What a bunch of pansies. Why, I remember when I was school, we only had a delay or day off if our Superintendent couldn't get out of his driveway. Or at least that was the prevailing theory.
Last night people were bum rushing the bread and milk aisles. Lowes and Home Depot were over run with people looking for shovels and ice melt (um, hello, it is February. Shouldn't that stuff have been bought a long time ago?). And even more importantly, just in case they can't get out for the next few days, people packed the Lobster last night for one more meal of fried shrimp or heart attack inducing biscuits.
We were so busy last night I didn't get home until well after 10. Normally I'm home by 9 on Wednesday nights.
Did I mention we're only forecasted for up to 8 inches?
Luckily, I don't work tonight. Nope. No way. After my first session with Paul, the trainer at the gym I joined, I'm spending the night in. Cookies will be baked. Laundry will be folded and put away. Bills will be paid. Quietness will be enjoyed.
And maybe a snowman will be made.
