Lucky Duck
Yesterday I was reminded just how lucky I am to have the friends that I do. Twice during the course of my day, it hit me just how good I have it.
James is one of my work friends. Over the course of the last couple of months we've gotten to be good friends. He can be a little brusk at times but that's what guys are like when they're 21. I've come to think of him almost like a little brother. I'd never tell him that of course, but that's just the way things are between us. Anyway, before I get even further off on a tangent, yesterday he was nice enough to get up at 6:30 a.m. on his day off, drive me to work then take my car and give it a complete oil change. All for free. Or so he said. Instead of fighting with him over money I paid for his dinner last night. If you ask me, I got off with the better deal on that one.
Then there's Lyzz. My wonderful friend from the former part time. I've been super stressing about the possibility of, well, something I'm not quite ready to bring up on the blog yet. We talked. She gave me her honest to god, no holds barred opinion on what I should do, and I love her for it. Whatever the outcome of this little personal mini crisis I know I can count on her.
My friends are the light of my life and I'm lucky, oh so lucky, to have so many and know that they'll be there for me. Through the good, the bad and the ugly.
