Sitting here at work waiting for a phone call back from the person I contacted for my obit story. No bite yet. Sigh. This is the most boring part of the job, sitting here and waiting for the call back. As noted before patience is not one of my better virtues. Did manage to add more to the other blog. I like writing like that. Just letting my imagination go wild. Trust me, my imagination tends to go wild more often then I care to admit.
Christmas was all right. We had a good bit of snow fall on Christmas Day. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 8". I was stuck at my parent's house with no electricity until Bob rescued me around 2 p.m. with an invite over for Christmas Dinner. Even with all of the snow on the ground I readily accepted. My mom and sister were driving me nuts. Then again that is not anything new. At least my Dad bothered to show up. He backed out of going to church with the family on Christmas eve and I of course received the phone call from my mother. Ugh. Today is supposedly his last day at Rutters. Yeah. I'll believe it when I see it.
Only 39 days until the big trip! Oh god, I can't wait. I just can't wait to go. Not just to go but to experience as much of Ireland as I can. The next 39 days are going to be the longest of my life...
