Thought these were interesting. Especially since I am a student of history. Speaking of the study of history, I started watching this extremely interesting program on Discovery last night. Since neither of my shows were on, I went in search of something to preoccupy my time between loads of laundry. The show is called Unsolved History and it is so cool! Last night's episode was about Pickett's charge and what really made the whole thing such a failure. They deconstructed the entire afternoon of July 3, 1863 from the Lee's order to the actual charge. It was just so interesting I got sucked into the show and didn't even hear Marti come in. O.k., I admit it, I'm a history nerd.

Noticed the clothes fitting a little looser today. Very good. I haven't stepped back onto the scale since two Saturday's ago when I gingerly put my feet on Marti's bathroom scale and shreiked in horror at what I saw. Ugh. All that work last year for nothing. That was enough motiviation to get my butt to the gym three times this week and go to open hockey tomorrow night. Now if only I could do something about those mid-morning cravings, I might be o.k. That is the only time of the day I get hungry outside of meal time. Weird. Usually I get an urge for some peanut butter pretzels or starchy substitute. I know what I need to do, it's just a matter of actually doing it again. When I was on L.A. Weight Loss I actually stuck to the plan. Sigh. Back to the drawing board I guess.

Definitely no more McDonald's for breakfast. Actually, this is a pretty helpful website. The next time any urges for McDonald's pop up, go here first and check out the fat content, sodium or total calories for their menu items. Makes me think twice.
