Very slightly bummed. Well, more like a lot bummed. The hockey team officially disbanded today. Sigh. I was hoping we could scrounge up enough people to get this thing off the ground but this year it's no dice. Oh well. At least I still get to play with Lancaster. And there's always the guys team in Harrisburg. Lol, speaking of as we were getting ready to leave today Kim told Jonda and I some of the guys were asking about us (ie: relationship status, age, etc.). Sweet. I would have no problem with going out with any of those guys. Scratch that, the married ones would be an issue but I'm not even going down that road.
The pig roast was a blast. My parents were their usual juvenile selves and didn't show up. I don't know. As soon as I saw my mom's phone number pop up on my cell phone I knew they were not going. Apparently my dad was "sick" and my mom didn't want to go by herself. He also backed out of coming back to the house. Again. And he wonders why I don't believe 95% of the things he says. Sigh. I guess I just need to live my own life and let them do what they need to do.
Kel's bridal shower was nice too. We played hokey games and watched Kel open her gifts. I won a Longaberger basket in the raffel so I didn't come away totally empty handed. Oh, and Jean almost set the place on fire when she threw some toilet paper down on to the table near a candle. Good times, good times. As we were sitting there ohhhing and ahhhhing over the gifts it hit me that I've know Kelly for 10 years now! We were room mates our freshman year at Ship. Actually, it was around this time 10 years ago that we actually met when we went out to buy a run for the dorm room. Lol, that rug definitely looked like it went through some tough times by the time we finished with it.
