A little on edge today. My father and I are meeting for dinner tonight. He wants to "talk". Explain his side of the story I guess. Sigh. Truth be told I really don't want to hear it. I've been hearing the same tired excuses for the past four freaking years. Yesterday I told my mom she's a much better person than I am for being so forgiving with him. If it were me his butt would have been kicked to the curb a long time ago, 30 year marriage or not. So tonight I'll meet him for dinner, try to listen to what he's saying without jumping off the deep end like I so often do and hope I'm home in time to watch my shows (Ed and West Wing). I just want this whole thing to end. My mom needs to have some resolution so she can get on with her life. My sister needs to be able to move on in hers and I definitely want to get back to some semblence of normalcy in my life. If that is at all possible.

This morning I woke up to the sound of rain. Then I remembered I had put my hockey equipment outside to air out for a day and scrambled to bring it in before it got too water logged. Unfortunately it must have started raining very early. My stuff was soaked. Oh well. At least it's clean now and doesn't have that funk that hockey equipment gets. Heck, even my gloves smell good. I just hope nothing was ruined by its unintentional washing. We had practice last night and I'm feeling it today. Coach Rob had us doing a lot of suicide drills at the end. My crowning accomplishment for the evening though was hoisting myself over the boards during a line shift. No small (pardon the pun) feat for someone who's only 4'11". The inside of my thighs are all black and blue. Lol, almost looks like I had more fun than I should have last night (wink wink, nudge nudge).

Fall has definitely hit South Central Pennsylvania (not to be confused with South Central L.A.). Our temps aren't going to get out of the 60's this week. Woo-hoo! I love it. Time to get out the sweaters and long pants. Bring it on baby, bring it on.
