Today I did two, count 'em TWO obit stories. I rock. Oh yeah, I rock the hizzouse. See what happens when I apply myself? Definitely makes me feel better about my decision to leave job #1 for job #2. Yesterday I had a moment of panic when I sat down with my bills, my checkbook and calculator. It wasn't pretty. Let's just say there were some tears involved and a few throwing of pens. The whole lack of a secure income is giving me bouts of cold sweats. I'm sure I can do it though. The income from Mary Kay will help as will another part time job.
Lol, I always say I'm looking for a new adventure, well kiddo's I've sure as hell found one.
Last night I got to see some of my old college friends, the girls I've known since our freshman year (and before for some of them). I like it when we get together. It's almost like the six years since college have disappeared and there we are, sitting at the dining table in Reisner gabbing about this and that. Only difference now is three of my friends are married so talk turns to babies, houses, etc. as opposed to what party we're going to this weekend and how drunk we were the night before. Sigh. Times change I guess.
Speaking of getting drunk, last night I was pretty far gone at the after party of job #2's holiday pary. Hey, we like to keep a good time going! After I went to dinner with the girls I had a hockey game so I wasn't at the actual dinner but from what I understand it was nice. A group went out to Cobblestone's ( a local sports bar type place) and I met up with them after my game. During my 2 hours there I did two Sex on the Beach shots and had two Yuenglings. Yeah, I was paying for it today. Hangovers are no fun. Unfortunately I usually forget that fact until I'm already shitfaced and making a jerk of myself.
The Big Dig is finally done! My friend June must be doing a jig as we speak. As a frequent visitor to Boston I've seen this monster in all it's glory first hand. Talk about pain in the patootie. I'm hoping to get to Bahston next baseball season for a game. We'll see how good the Big Dig really is then.
Diet wise I've got nothing to report. I've gotten complacent about the whole thing and haven't been following through like I should. I'm trying to eat the right things during the course of my day but it just isn't flying. There are many days when I start out with good intentions. They usually go flying out the door by noon. Sigh. Must have more restraint. I keep telling myself I'm going to get to the gym more often after my last day at job #1. Heaven willing, I'll stick to that.
