And then there were four

So I finally got around to joining a gym again. It was time. I needed to do something to get off my ever expaning bottom line. Last year at this time I was about 15 pounds lighter, training for my first 5k and going to hockey every week. That was last year. This year I hardly have time to make it to hockey practice more than twice a month, a 5k? Ha! I'm lucky if I can walk 1k and the 15 pounds? Those little bastards found their way back.

Tuesday after work I signed the contract. It's the most I've been able to commit to something in a long time. Not too expensive either. The people seem nice and my time to go, after the full time in the middle of the afternoon seems to be a not so busy part of the day. So I'm motivated. For now. Yesterday I stopped in to use the eliptical before the part time. Not wanting to push anything too much I only did 35 minutes.

It felt good, really good. I forgot how energized I get after a workout. Even if it is only 35 minutes of going nowhere.

After I showered and headed to work I sat in the car checking my voicemails. Good thing I wasn't moving, I probably would have caused an accident when I returned the calls my sister had made.

She went back to the doctor for a follow up yesterday morning. Last week at her first appointment her doctor saw something that didn't make her happy. So she had her go back to the office for more tests. While she was doing an ultrasound, my sister's doctor looked up and asked her and her husband if they were using fertility drugs. My sister's reply was something along the lines of, hell no...why?

The doctor saw what could be three more. For those of you keeping score, that means my sister and brother in law could be expecting four babies. At one time.

After I was done kvetching, I laughed. Hard. Oh my poor sister. One is bad enough but four?!

She goes back Friday for more poking and proding.
