Co-Worker in a different Dept. : "Hey AG, are you going to the annual New Year's Eve party we've both been attending for the last couple of years?"
AG: "Uh, well, no not this year."
Co-Worker in a different Dept. : "Awww, really? Why not?"
AG: "To be honest, I just can't handle another New Year's Party single...especially when everyone there is attached."
Co-Worker in a different Dept. : "But I'm not...oh, but I have a boyfriend. And then there's...yeah, she has a boyfriend too now. But I thought...um, that's right she just started seeing that guy..."
AG: "Exactly. I'm doing a girls night with some of my single friends. We're dressing up, hitting the town and giving 2007 a liquid welcome."

New years parties are the BEST when you're SINGLE! Who else gets the chance to kiss lots and lots of people when the mistletoe is hanging and when the clock strikes twelve? Seriously, it is an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.
Um, yeah, usually I'd agree. And when we were in college we partied like champs (the couple doing the hosting and I go way back) but everyone who's going to be there is part of a couple...so at midnight this year, it would be me, looking at my watch. Woo-hoo.
I think, this year at least, I'm going to pass.
